The initial diagnostic session is two hours in length and the fee is $ 350.00. A full history is taken and this fee includes a brief computerized test of current functioning.
Individual sessions of neurofeedback are $150.00 per session. A package of 10 sessions will be discounted by 10% or $1350.00. A package of 20 sessions will be discounted by 20% or $2400.00.
Cash, checks, and credit cards are accepted payment methods. Payment schedules can also be arranged with the provider. Payment is expected prior to or on the day services are provided and co-pays are to be payed before services are rendered.
Insurance coverage varies. Several companies cover neurofeedback, per se such as Cigna, some Blue Cross/Blue Shield contracts, PHCS, and Beech Street. Many will cover sessions by a BCIA certified practitioner for specific disorders. Specific coverage questions can be answered with the help of the provider.
Neurofeedback is best used as an adjunctive technique within individual psychotherapy sessions for the most robust results. Neurofeedback devices are FDA approved for relaxation training specifically.
Other biofeedback services are available such as; heart rate variability training, temperature training, respiration training and peak performance training.
